Life, Theories and Television
Would you like to hear my theory? It is very likely that you have heard this before because either:
a) I've already shared it with you OR
b) My theory is true and therfore you would already have been privy to the workings of my brain via other avenues.
To elaborate. My theory: Life is a television show.
Ok now I'm gonna get into the sticky stuff, so I advise you to leave now if you're gonna get bored.
If life is a tv show my theory, Version one is that my life is like some great big truman-show like reality program. Where all my friends and family are highly trained actors who get paid and it is all being filmed as we speak [or as I type]. This would be the very very self-centred version of my theory.
Version two : we are all part of this great reality televsion show, and are being watched all the time by tiny tiny cameras hidden in obscure places like walls, lamp post and the like.
If either of these was true then my questions are as follows:
How are the ratings going? Is any body out there watching?
Is the television program of my life interesting for all the little people out there?
Or are they all just flipping channels to watch another repeat of the simpsons?
Yeah, so that's my little thought that I have recently been pondering =)
Today I went to watch Star Wars with Lynda and Jeremy [or perhaps highly trained actors known to be Lynda and Jeremy, whichever. I mean for all I know their names are really... Carol and Robert!] It was quite good but note to self *Sith's are a bit minty* The trailer for Mr and Mrs Smith looked very good and now I really want to see it, as do Carol and Robert so shall drag them and everyone else to go watch after exams!
Also watched the fantastic, random, talented, tangent guy also known as Ross Noble! [this would be thurday night] Incredibly funny stuff. He was a blur of long hair and anecdotes about his 'plums', owl's on rollerskates and even "Fiddy Cent"!! The only bad thing was that there were Jay Maynards in the audience... they always seem to sprout up at such events, very odd. They sat behind us and one had a very distictive nerd-ee laugh. Lynda/Carol and I were both slightly disturbed. All in all though the show was very good! Yet another funny comedy performer and will have to see him again next year if he swings by.
Had Asia quiz night as well. *FlashbacK* to high school socials and music camp quiz nights. Twas alright but alas my team the Umbrella Monkeys did not win! And another note *masks are freaky!* This is in reference to one of the Asia committee guy's costume which had him wearing a full white mask, much like that of the freaky guy in Nip/Tuck.
Anyways, Carol lent me a bunch of cd's so now I am gonna work my way through the musical stylings of Queen, the Strokes, Phatom Planet and others. [and by Carol I mean Lynda in case you forgot already!]
Buy Buy and I'll see you all at a later juncture!
