and now, a poem
Its raining, its pouring,
The old man is snoring.
He went to bed and bumped his head,
And couldn't get up in the morning!
A warning to all : Rain + sleep = concussion and DEATH!!
I wish you all umbrellas that don't turn inside out and warm socks!
I am now off to the land disgustingly known as "lectopia". I'm almost sure its exactly like that movie 'Dinotopia' but instead of Dinosaurs you have really old guys talking bout things and what-not. So you see, it is exactly the same... only not.
Like a shamrock on St. Pat's day
ooh lookee here.. Tis all different and green now! I have decided to embrace the hidden argyle-pattern-lover in all of us with this new motif.
And please note... the sidebar is now on the other side!! I know, I know.. it is a crazy world we find ourselves living in, but we must all learn to accept radical change in order to grow. Grow like flowers in the wind... or perhaps grow just like normal flowers in soil as that would probably be the most prosperous way to grow flowers. I think I'm getting 'flowers in the wind' bit mixed up with that 'candle in the wind' song... moving on.
First week of uni, done and done. A week of rain, dragons, Gelares, cookie/sugar OD, fruitless shopping, wet ankles, pizza dough, horoscopes, Guild coffee and lastly redecoration, as seen in evidence here.
Well done to all the UWA-ians for surviving, to Curtin-ites I hope your first week isn't filled with as many drowning hazards, and while yes, we all realise the rain is good for the farmers, on the other hand rain splattered glasses are no sight-deficient-person's friend.
-the end-
Bak 2 Skewl
I don'ts no bout use but I noes That I am in neads of sum learnin!
So chums holidays are now over and we are back to uni.. just in time for the weather to go to hell and drench us silly people who try to catch the bus. Good thing that I missed the bus this morning then!
Was late to my first class this afternoon, which doesn't really bode well for the rest of the semester I would think. I blame the rain and the crappy parking now that zoology is closed and the pay parking lot near the library where I got stuck for ten minutes waiting for the pedestrians at the zebra crossing and that one stupid white car that stole the spot which was rightfully mine... but anyway I digress.
Off to latin line dancing in a little while with all those middle aged ladies who are surpisingly active when it comes to uniform dance routines of the latin perusasion, so that will be all for now.
Oh bugger
Holiday report :
- Pirates of the Caribbean viewings. Johnny Depp always equals good stuff, even really badly written films such as the dubious piece 'The Ninth Gate' was saved by Johnny Depp... even when there was this weird sex bit with a burning church in the background and this devil woman with crazy eyes... but enough of that. Pirates 2 not as good as the first but still pretty good.
- Dvd purchases. Scrubs is funny.. I would expand on this oh-so-profound statement but alas there is a lziness factor which prevents me.
- Lots of people going to melbourne and slowly trickling back to Perth. All these cheap airline tickets are probably a giant conspiracy created by Richard Branson.. one more step toward world domination perhaps.
- Extreme procrastination + lack of motivation has meant that all the things I planned to do this holidays i.e. post-exam clean up, cookie manufacturing and the general organising of social events, all have been forgone in favour of general couch-potato-like behaviour. This can be displayed through the lack of blog updates and the like.
Two week to go... one would hope that the rest of the holidays will be more productive than the first half. Me thinks that a blog-skin-spruce-up is in order. Bye bye for now sports fans!
