Regulalry Scheduled Program

Tomorrow is the day that all the little uni-bees return to those hallowed halls o' learning & stuffs. Time to say your bye-byes to that flighty-free time known as holidays. *sigh*

Meh.. Grace is quite over this weather thank you very much. She would like global warming to stop freaking out and make the climate less schizophrenic please. If one of you readers out there could kindly get onto that she would be very thankful.

Oh dear.. Grace's head feels awfully empty. She hopes that its not a sign that her brain has

a) liquified into useless goo within her head

or

b) suffered some sort of brain-specific rust

Hopefully not, what with uni being the place where one's brain needs to do all sorts of complex activites and what-not.

Okay, that will sufficiently count as an updated blog. Off now.. Grace bids all the uni-bees a good first day back with minimal 'getting lost trying to find new classroom' moments.

Big Day Out Recap

Just got back from the Big Day Out and having finally eaten dinner at 11.30pm I am now here to recap the festivities while they are all still moshing in my brain.

Weather
Bleh hot and shiny... meaning Grace now has more interesting tan lines to add to the bunch... even though there were copious sun screen applications, nevertheless. Note to self.. next time bring a hat.

Also because of said hot weather the security guards kept spraying water into the crowd, whilst refreshing, the questionable nature of the water doesn't exactly make you want to be doused in the face with it.

People
As expected plenty of sweaty bogans to go around. They are really not fun to be around when in a mosh-pit type situations e.g. when myself and Alison were trying to get in front of the stage before Kings of Leon started. Got elbowed and crushed quite a bit.

Also bumped into quite a few familiar people, Andre and friends watching The Grates, Jason and gf Jenny at lunch time, Amanda Murray who kindly gave me a discount at Red Rooster and also Miss Loo [the more senior one] and their cousin Stoo [I think its spelt that way anyway..]

The Bands
The Greenhornes - cool band from Cincinnati Ohio, must now track down their albums... a trip to 78 records is needed me thinks.

Sarah Blasko - nice voice, album in the process of burning from Alison, she reminds me a lot of Missy Higgins.

Kings of Leon - really really great live band. After being smushed into the barracade to get in front of the stage the good music made up for the pain and bruises =)

The Living End - While waiting for Franz at the Blue stage, the Orange stage next door had the Living End.. I snuck over and got pics while they played classic yelling-type songs. Cos I'm a brat and I know everything and I talk back, Cos I'm not listening to anything you say...

Franz Ferdinand - for our patience we were right at the front for their set! Well like second or thrid row from the front... damn those tall people. Franz was truly great, they too sound really good live. [Auf Achse with three people playing the drums at one time was particularly cool]

The White Stripes - Alas at this point the mosh-pit got much more mosh-i-er. Too many people, lots of pushing and squishing. I stayed up the front while the very-slick-with-his-black-top-hat Jack White and the very-cool-with-her-hot-red-short-shorts Meg White played Blue Orchid. After that Alison and I got a bit trampled so the tank security guards pulled us over the barrier... thus truly providing a true Big Day Out experience. But still they were still el fantastico, even if we had to watch the rest of it from the big screen instead of up close.

That was Grace's day at the Big Day Out, she is now off to sleep till some time in the afternoon.

The End.

[Insert your own title here]

Its official fellow blog-reader-people, Miss Ong is going to the Big Day Out! She only hopes that there are fewer smelly/sweaty/overtly bogan-ish people then there were at Cat Empire.. admittedly the crowd will probably be very similar though! Damn those bogans and their non-showering ways!

Also hooray! 3 phones have been selling like hot cakes! While one doesn't know the specific statistical information about the rate at which the hot cakes are selling, the saying suggests that they are being sold in reasonably large quantities and within a short span of time. This reflects the way 3 phones are selling at the moment for they too have been sold rather quickly of late... very good for Miss Ong who does so like that extra commision money.

For future reference, Hungry Jacks breakfast is a rip off. Stick to Maccas people unless you're desperate... in that case eat a whole packet of mints in one go or something to that effect because the eggs at Hungry Jacks are dodge and the pan cakes are pretty much the same as Macca's...the mints are a better option..really.. Stupid Hungry Jack ads with their influencing campaigning..

Old news but Yay! Miss Djunaedi has returned and Miss Loo is back soon-ish... we hope... as long as she remembers to get on the plane and all!

Ok so my head is hurting now and I'm once again working tomorrow so I'm off.

Triple word score points for reaching the very bottom of the page!
