Life, Theories and Television
Would you like to hear my theory? It is very likely that you have heard this before because either:
a) I've already shared it with you OR
b) My theory is true and therfore you would already have been privy to the workings of my brain via other avenues.
To elaborate. My theory: Life is a television show.
Ok now I'm gonna get into the sticky stuff, so I advise you to leave now if you're gonna get bored.
If life is a tv show my theory, Version one is that my life is like some great big truman-show like reality program. Where all my friends and family are highly trained actors who get paid and it is all being filmed as we speak [or as I type]. This would be the very very self-centred version of my theory.
Version two : we are all part of this great reality televsion show, and are being watched all the time by tiny tiny cameras hidden in obscure places like walls, lamp post and the like.
If either of these was true then my questions are as follows:
How are the ratings going? Is any body out there watching?
Is the television program of my life interesting for all the little people out there?
Or are they all just flipping channels to watch another repeat of the simpsons?
Yeah, so that's my little thought that I have recently been pondering =)
Today I went to watch Star Wars with Lynda and Jeremy [or perhaps highly trained actors known to be Lynda and Jeremy, whichever. I mean for all I know their names are really... Carol and Robert!] It was quite good but note to self *Sith's are a bit minty* The trailer for Mr and Mrs Smith looked very good and now I really want to see it, as do Carol and Robert so shall drag them and everyone else to go watch after exams!
Also watched the fantastic, random, talented, tangent guy also known as Ross Noble! [this would be thurday night] Incredibly funny stuff. He was a blur of long hair and anecdotes about his 'plums', owl's on rollerskates and even "Fiddy Cent"!! The only bad thing was that there were Jay Maynards in the audience... they always seem to sprout up at such events, very odd. They sat behind us and one had a very distictive nerd-ee laugh. Lynda/Carol and I were both slightly disturbed. All in all though the show was very good! Yet another funny comedy performer and will have to see him again next year if he swings by.
Had Asia quiz night as well. *FlashbacK* to high school socials and music camp quiz nights. Twas alright but alas my team the Umbrella Monkeys did not win! And another note *masks are freaky!* This is in reference to one of the Asia committee guy's costume which had him wearing a full white mask, much like that of the freaky guy in Nip/Tuck.
Anyways, Carol lent me a bunch of cd's so now I am gonna work my way through the musical stylings of Queen, the Strokes, Phatom Planet and others. [and by Carol I mean Lynda in case you forgot already!]
Buy Buy and I'll see you all at a later juncture!
I want to :
- Be less stressed and have more time to do nothing, cos laziness is fun and enjoyable.
- Have more money to extend my CD collection.
- Be organised and good-work-ethic-ee.
- Not be the type of person that bugs myself. Cos it's bad if you turn into the type of person that you would normally mock.
- Hang out with my friends more. Especially the ones I haven't seen lately. Even though I see you guys sometimes... [You guys there I miss you guys!]
- Be less "Bleh" and more =)
- Stop wanting things that are unattainable... perhaps I need to rethink some of the above...
Ook! I'm now nicely vented. I think... It's always nice to rant every now and then =)
Thank you for your time! And to end, in the words of Tigger from Winnie the Pooh : TTFN... Ta Ta for now!
Tripod : freaking-awesome
I really should go to sleep right now but one must not neglect one's blog. Else they become resentful, grow bitter and get abandonment issues and we wouldn't want that!
Tripod are Freaking-awesome-bloody-hell!! SO good a new catch phrase must be procured for them!! I think I may have scared Alice with the extent of my obsession but thankfully Tina and Lynda joined me in my crazed mania. "Oh it's my pastry chef!"
Before the show started I found this window that was slightly opened and I convinced myself that Tripod were in there getting ready so I checked it at regular intervals for signs of movement. Miss's Djunaedi and Loo were likewise gazing at this fateful window at times... till we found out that it was actually the people form Captin Planet getting ready for their play. Much to my dismay...but anyway...
Tripod were really great/fantastic/incredible/humouress and I even bought myself some merchandise =D
CD : Open Slather [there are songs containing Mucus and Ikea what more could you want?]
Video : Tripod tells the tale of The Adventures of Tosswinkle the Pirate [Pirates, Dancing, Helicopters and a wooden woman named Enid!]
Ok... time to sleep now, but I end with a note as thus:
Note: Tripod are SUPERLATIVE! I am definitely going to see them next year and you are a fool among fools if you do not care to join me!
Current Status
Am in an utter state of "meh"-ness, where even proper syntax has been neglected.
Not good: too much homework, not enough of the doing of the homework, too much use-less time spending, too much guilt over aforementioned time spending and feeling slightly cold-flu-like-ish.
Hence my current mood status.
It is at this juncture that I tend to make many elaborate analogies of my current study situation using such things as water and my sinking therein, or ladders, climbing and my non-increasing height. But enough of that.
Coming up this week:
- FA presentaion .. [motivations and justifications: fun! only not..]
- Driving test! .. [scary... come on a pass!]
- Tripod Show .. [exciting, funny, finally in Perth!]
- Smirnoff night .. [we hope...]
- A towering mass of work .. [as of yet undone]
And it is with that I sign off.
